Scheduling and Payment

“How do I schedule a lesson, and pay for it?” 

Lessons need to be scheduled in advance. We are sometimes booked 2-3 weeks out, so please plan ahead. We do our scheduling via phone call to Val at 412-302-6736. Private lessons will receive an email with a Need To Know about how to prepare for the lesson, and what the payment arrangements are.

We often require a $25 deposit from new clients which will be applied to the appointment fee. This can be accomplished via Paypal, Venmo, or a check/money deposited in the secured mailbox at FDO. If we do not receive this deposit or check by the requested date, your appointment time will not be held. In the event of a NO SHOW, or less than 24 hours’ cancellation notice, the deposit is non-refundable.

Most private lessons need to be scheduled during the day, during the week, due to classes running on evenings and weekends.

Established clients are exempt from the deposit policy.

We do NOT accept credit cards at this time.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations due to an illness are respected and understood. Discussion to reschedule must be within a two week period. We are human and understand that “life” happens.
  • We will often confirm your appointment the day before. If you cancel at that time, the deposit will be forfeited. If you are sick, you need to let us know asap so that we can find a client to fill that spot. 
  • NO SHOW appointments forfeit the deposit, and are not accepted back as clients. 
  • THE ONLY way a cancellation is accepted is via voicemail message or text. Facebook Messenger is NOT a reliable means of communication, and will not be considered proper notification.
